METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PROFILING IN WELDING UNDER CURRENT CHANGE

PURPOSE:To control exactly and easily profiling in the stage of welding with an oscillating arc by subjecting the change component of the arc current at each end of oscillation of an electrode to area comparison. CONSTITUTION:A specified reference value is processed with a comparator 12 in order to take out the change component of the arc current value at each end of oscillation and the difference between both values is obtd. The difference for the left end of the oscillation out of said difference is inputted to a left side integrator 16 and the difference for the right end of the oscillation to a right side integrator 17 respectively by an analog switch 13 changed over by the current pulse transmitted in synchronization with the oscillating period by which the differences are integrated with time. Both integrated values are processed by a comparator 20 for every specified time and when a difference arises between both, a motor 22 for moving the electrode is driven and controlled to move the electrode in the transverse direction of the groove thereby correcting the deviation in the oscillation center thereof.
