PRODUCTION OF CLAD STEEL PLATE

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce efficiently a clad steel plate by heating a blank material for cladding with the metal on the side larger in the coefft. of linear expansion faced upward then hot rolling said material with the metal on the side larger in deformation resistance faced downward. CONSTITUTION:A blank material 10 for cladding assembled by superposing different metals for a cladding metal 11 and a base metal 12 and welding the peripheral edge thereof is heated while the cladding metal 11 which is the metal on the side larger in the coefft. of linear expansion is positioned to face upward. The metal 11 cambers circularly on progression of heating but the base metal 12 on skids 3 is flat and does not produce arch, etc. The material 10 is then turned over by using a turnover machine (not shown) to position the cladding metal 11 which is the metal on the side larger in deformation resistance to face downward and the blank material is passed through a rolling mill 5 if necessary. The rolled material of the material 10 cambers downward during this hot rolling, but the clad steel plate is efficiently obtd. without inducing defective bite, etc.
