PURPOSE:To cause a convection heat transfer to occur in a gas which is to be heated by applying a radiation heat from a heat conducting pipe which has been heated by a heating gas to a heat conduction enhancing mass in its interior. CONSTITUTION:Inside a ceramic heat conducting pipe 3, a heat conduction enhancing mass 20 consisting of a solid stainless steel rod is coaxially disposed with a clearance from the heat conducting pipe 3. The heat conducting pipe 3 is heated by a heating gas flowing around its periphery. Since the radiation heat is applied from the inner wall of the heat conducting pipe 3 to the heat conduction enhancing mass 20, and flows in the annular space between the outer surface of the heat conduction enhancing mass and the inner surface of the heat conducting pipe 3, the convection heat transfer is effected both from the heat conducting pipe 3 and heat conduction enhancing mass 20, resulting in a larger heat conduction area. |
