PURPOSE:To prevent resin impregnated in an insulating layer from flowing out by interposing a thin resin leakage preventive layer between a main insulating tape layer and a tight tape layer. CONSTITUTION:A field coil 11 is formed of a coil conductor 12, a main insulating layer 13, a tight tape layer 14, and a resin leakage preventive layer 15 of U-shaped cross section interposed between the layers 13 and 14, and impregnated resin is impregnated from one axial end A side of the coil 11 through the layer 14 between the windings of the conductor 12 and in the insulating film and the layer 13. Thus, a problem that the resin impregnated into the coil is heretofore flowed out externally in the heating and curing steps to generate an air layer of voids in the insulating layer to decrease the cooling performance of the coil can be completely eliminated. |
