CONSUMABLE ELECTRODE TYPE ARC WELDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To stabilize an arc and to obtain a beautiful bead having no welding defects by changing the supply speed of a welding wire in accordance with the migrating period of a molten metal in such a way that an inertial force to transfer the molten metal toward materials to be welded is generated. CONSTITUTION:A welding wire 32 is melted by a welding arc 311 to form a molten metal 312. The wire 32 is fed toward materials 34 to be welded at the same instant when the metal 312 is deposited on the tip of the wire 32 and therefore the inertia toward the materials 34 is applied to the metal 312 as well. When the wire 32 moves in the direction parting from the materials 34, the molten metal 312 is forcibly detached and transferred by the inertia. More specifically, the molten metal 312 is detached surely from the wire 32 by receiving not only the effect by the pinch effect but also the effect of the inertia and is thus transferred to the materials 34.
