PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and make assembling easy with respect to an operation switching mechanism incorporated in a book shell type record player or a front loading disc player. CONSTITUTION:The operation switching mechanism consists of the first recessed part 18d and the second recessed part 34e formed on faces facing each other of the first member (transverse chassis 18) and the second member (moving member 33), an aperture part 22f which is provided in a part (projecting part 22e) between the first and the second members of the third member (tray 21), a movable frame 52 which is arranged in said aperture part and can be engaged with said first and second recessed parts, etc.
