PURPOSE:To enable the easy alteration of the installed posture of a vacuum pump, by placing a fitted portion which determines the eccentric position of a center plate to a rear bracket, and another fitted portion which determines the position of the center plate and a pump housing, so that the fitted portions are eccentric from each other. CONSTITUTION:The rear bracket 1 of an electric generator is provided with a mounting seat 8 for installing a vacuum pump. A first fitted portion 9, which is machined eccentrically around a point P at an angle alpha as to the axis of a driving shaft 7, is provided inside the mounting seat 8. A second fitted portion 13 is provided around the three mounting feet 11 of a center plate 2 so that the second fitted portion has the same eccentricity as the first fitted portion 9 and is located around a point of eccentricity angle beta. As a result, the installed angle of the vacuum pump can be easily changed with the use of the rear bracket 1 which is a standard member.
