摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a gas sensor having high joint strength between a diaphragm consisting of a fluororesin and a catalyst electrode and high response speed by laminating said diaphragm, a joint layer consisting of a porous mixed layer of a prescribed copolymer and a mixed layer catalyst powder and fluororesin binder. CONSTITUTION:A gas sensor 1 is constituted of a diaphragm 2 consisting of a fluororesin, a joint layer 3 consisting of a porous mixed layer composed of a tetrafluoroethylene/hexafluoropropylene copolymer and tetrafluoroethylene/ethylene copolymer and a catalyst electrode consisting of a mixture composed of a catalyst (gold powder) and binder (polyfluoroethylene). The laminate is fixed to a PP holder 7. A lead electrode 5 and an electrolyte (an aq. soln. mixture composed of acetic acid, potassium acetate and lead acetate) 6 are contained in the holder 7. The electrode 4 acts as a positive electrode and the electrode 5 as a negative electrode. The voltage at both terminals of the resistor 8 connected between the two electrodes is proportional to an oxygen concn. The gas sensor having high joint strength between the diaphragm 2 and the electrode 4 and high response speed is thus obtd.
