摘要

Strip comprises a U-section gripping member of plastics with a central U-shaped metal reinforcement and a fabric layer on part or all the outer surface. The fabric is open-structure textile with a plastics coating of 300-500 g/m2, and is goffered or crimped to enhance its elasticity in all directions. The fabric is attached to the member by adhesive in the region of the fabric surface troughs only, this reducing the amount of adhesive required and does not adversely affect elastic deformation of the member. The fabric is pref. of woven textile with a uniformly spread microporous vinyl plastisol coating. The adhesive is pref. a saturated polyurethane non-reactive in soln. The arrangement provides secure adhesive of the fabric even to a PVC strip.
