2,3-dihalo-2-fluoropropanals, process for obtaining them and their applications to the preparation of halides and esters of 2,3-dihalo-2-fluoropropanoyls and of alkyl or aryl fluoroacrylates

2,3-Dihalo-2-fluoropropanals of formula: <IMAGE> with X = Cl or Br. The process for obtaining them consists in halogenating 2-fluoroacrolein by direct addition of the halogen. These new products can be used for the preparation of halides and esters of 2,3-dihalo-2-fluoropropanoyls and of alkyl or aryl fluoroacrylates.
