PURPOSE:To feed auxiliary fuel to an engine in time of starting and decelerating with one device alone, by installing an auxiliary fuel passage in addition to a main fuel passage of a carburetor, while setting up a valve, which opens at both low and high suction pressure times, in the said passage. CONSTITUTION:Aside from a main fuel passage 23 of a carburetor 21, a pipe 28 having a control valve 29 is installed in the point midway, setting it down to a fuel system for air-fuel ratio compensation. A valve body 38 is designed to act in a normally opened direction by dint of a spring 40, while it also works in a closed direction by suction pressure in a suction pressure chamber 35 of a diaphragm 34 otherwise. In time of engine starting, since the suction pressure inside a crank chamber 15 is still low, the inside of this chamber 35 is approximate to the atmosphere whereby the valve body 38 opens and feeds auxiliary fuel from the pipe 28. At the time of normal operation, the valve body 38 closes due to the suction pressure inside the chamber 35. In order to cope with a shortage of stopgap fuel ranging from time of deceleration till acceleration, strong suction pressure inside the chamber 35 opens an atmospheric relief valve 46, making the chamber 35 into the atmosphere, whereby the valve body 38 is opened and the auxiliary fuel is fed to the carburetor. |
