PURPOSE:To improve the compression efficiency of a screw compressor and prevent its rotors from scratching each other, by providing teeth in a previously modified form to make a normal tooth form curve due to a deformation caused by the thermal expansion in stationary operation. CONSTITUTION:The tooth form of a male rotor 1 which is shown by a full line 3 is that at the time of thermal expansion deformation in stationary operation. The tooth form 5 of a female rotor 2 which corresponds to the normal tooth form of the male rotor 1 at the thermal expansion deformation in stationary operation is provided by the modification by a difference of an original tooth form 4 for engagement with that of the male rotor 1. The modified tooth form 5 is made at room temperature. As a result, the stationary operation is effected with the most desirable tooth forms. |
