PURPOSE:To simplify the molding process by a method wherein a shape-memory alloy rod memorizing a desired shape above the transformation temperature is deformed artificially below the transformation temperature to penetrate into a thermoplastic resin tube, heated above the transformation temperature and cooled below the transformation temperature again to pull out. CONSTITUTION:A material alloy is retained above the transformation temperature for a proper period and then, subjected to a water or oil hardening to form a shape-memory alloy 1 memorizing a desired shape. The alloy thus obtained is kept below the transformation temperature and deformed linearly by an external force. Then, it is penetrated into a straight thermoplastic resin tube 2. Then, when heated above the transformation temperature, the shape-memory alloy 1 inserted into the tube 2 returns to the shape memorized while the theremoplastic resin tube 2 softens and is deformed according to changes in the shape of the shape-memory alloy 1. Subsequently, as cooled below the transformation temperature, the resin tube 2 is hardened to retain the shap. The shape-memory alloy 1 is deformed by an external force and then, pulled out of the resin tube 2. |
