PURPOSE:To provide a molding which has a low coefficient of linear expansion, hardly cause thermal deformation and has excellent physical properties and a smooth surface profile, by dispersing short glass fiber, an inorg. filler and a specified modifier in a vinyl chloride resin. CONSTITUTION:A molding is obtd. by dispersing 5-30pts.wt. short glass fiber of 0.05-3mm. in length, 10-50pts.wt. inorg. filler and 5-20pts.wt. at least one modifier selected from among a chlorinated polyethylene, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer, a methyl methacrylate/ butadiene/styrene copolymer and an acrylic resin in 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin. Polyvinyl chloride is particularly preferred as the vinyl chloride resin. Preferred glass fiber is chopped glass fiber having a surface treated with a coupling agent such as epoxysilane. Preferred inorg. filler is finely divided calcium carbonate.
