PURPOSE:To control effectively soil injurious insects, by applying a granule containing a mixture containing O,S-dimethyl-N-acetylphosphoramidothioate and ''Diazinon'' as active constituents to soil of upland field with no toxicity to useful crops and improved residual effect. CONSTITUTION:A granule containing a mixture of O,S-dimethyl-N-acetylphosphoramidothioate expressed by formula I with O,S-diethyl O-(2-isopropyl-4-methyl- 6-pyridinyl)phosphorothioate (''Diazinon'') is applied to soil of upland field. The mixing ratio of the above-mentioned active constituents is within 1:4-4:1 weight ratio range between the compounds expressed by formulas I and II. The granule is prepared by granulating the active constituents and a carrier, e.g. clay or bentonite, widely used as an agricultural chemical powder using various adjuvants. Examples of the injurious insects which can be controlled include gold beetles and larvae of cutworm, e.g. Agrotis fucosa Butler, damaging roots of plants in soil by eating.
