PURPOSE:To record FM sound signals on part of a video track under a superposed condition, by providing auxiliary heads for recording sounds whose azimuths coincide with those of main video heads and which form track widths narrower than those formed by the main heads. CONSTITUTION:A sound recording head 3A having the same gap azimuth angle as a main head 2A has and another sound recording head 3B having the same gap azimuth angle as another main head 2B has are fitted to a drum 1 for fitting rotary head in such a way that the heads 3A and 3B are respectively separated from the main heads 2A and 2B by an angle of 90 deg. and the heads 3A and 3B face each other with angles of 180 deg. between them. When video signals are supplied to the main heads 2A and 2B, the video signals are recorded on channels A and B and FM sound signals are recorded on the intermediate section along each track under a superposed condition by the sound recording heads 3A and 3B. Therefore, after-recording is required and simultaneous reproduction of the sounds and video signals can also be made. |
