PURPOSE:To regulate pressure of a developer powder to a proper value without elevating it, and to enable effective stirring and circulation with fresh developer to be executed by providing a regulating plate with the first opening for passing the developer through it toward a developing sleeve and the second opening for passing the developer into the chamber of the stirring member. CONSTITUTION:A regulating plate 12 for partitioning a developing sleeve 6 from a toner stirring member 10 is formed in a developing vessel 2, and the plate 12 is provided with the first opening 13 for passing a toner 3 scooped up with the stirrer 10 toward a developing sleeve 6. The plate 12 is also provided with the second opening 14 for passing the toner 3 scraped with a doctor blade 8 and moved upward, toward the part of the vessel 2 in which the stirrer is located. The plate 12 has a fundamental function for regulating the movement of the toner 3 toward the sleeve 6 and stirring and circulating the toner 3 with a fresh toner. |
