The invention relates to a door element, consisting of a frame made of metal and/or plastic as well as of an internal wooden facing which forms at least part of the inner surface of the door element and of an outer wooden facing forming at least part of the outer surface of the door element, the wooden facings in each case being held on the frame by holding elements. The invention is characterised in that the holding elements are rod-shaped elements which are arranged in first bores of the wooden facings and lie with their longitudinal extent in the direction parallel or virtually parallel to the inner and/or outer surface of the door element and engage with a part of their length in openings of fastening elements which are held on the frame and are in turn arranged in second bores provided in the wooden facings, and in that each first bore intersects a second bore.
