PURPOSE:To distribute liquid uniformly, and to form a fluidized bed with stabilized particles by forming a fluridized part keeping an almost horizontal bottom surface over a limpid part, and forming a settling and separation part of solid particles over the fluidized part. CONSTITUTION:The liquid 1 which forms a limpid part A passes through the limpid part A, and enters a fluidized part B. Since the flow velocity of the liquid is high at the lower part of the fluidized part B, solid particles 4 are strongly agitated, and the masstransfer rate on the liquid side is increased by said agitating effect. The unification between solid particles is simultaneously prevented, and a uniform fluidized bed is formed. After th treament is completed by the fluidized groups of solid particles in the fluidized part B, the liquid enters the settling and separation part C wherein the solid particles are settled and separated, and the liquid is discharged to the outside from the upper part of the vessel. In addition, since the passage in the vicinity of the inflow part has a uniform effective cross section, the solid particles 4 are pushed upward, and the limpid part A wherein the solid particles 4 are not present is formed.
