PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus having a simple structure without any particular driving power part nor machine part and causing scarcely accumulation of floc in the bottom of a tank by forming a simple groove or a compound groove to the bottom and a feed water distributing pipe having an outlet of the feed water at the bottom transversely to the inside of said groove simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A tank 1 is separated by a partition plate 10 and a groove 13 having a side surface 12 becoming narrower toward downward is provided to the bottom of a chamber 11 at one side of the partition plate. At the same time, a feed water distributing pipe 8 provided with a downwardly directed outlet 14 of the feed water comprising a slit or hole for discharging the feed water to the bottom of the distributing pipe 8 is installed transversely in the groove 13. Further, a chamber 11' at the other side of the partition plate 10 is used for a concentrator 15 for storing and concentrating the floc overflowed over the partition plate 10, and the concentrated floc is discharged periodically in the form of sludge through a sludge discharging pipe 16.
