PURPOSE:To make it possible to process a work accurately and efficiently without giving any distortion by simultaneously machining both ends of the work with each corresponding cutter in the state that the work is held penetrating through a pair of hollow main spindles. CONSTITUTION:On a bed 1 of the both ends processing machine, a pair of main spindle bases 2, 2' are arranged to oppose to each other. On the bases 2, 2', hollow main spindles 3, 3' which rotate in the same direction at the same speed are fixed to oppose to each other. Tail stocks 10, 10' and cutter carriages 11-13, 11'-13' are freely adjustable in position, however the main spindle base 2' on one side, together with the tail stock 10' and the cutter carriages 11'-13' on the same side, are freely adjustable in the longitudinal direction in accordance with the length of a work; thus both ends of the work are simultaneously machine with the cutters on the cutter carriages. With this configuration, the work can be accurately and efficiently machined without substaining any distortion. |
