PURPOSE:To enable both of a developiig gap and a doctor blade gap to be set at the same time with high precision by setting the axis of the roller of a photosensitive belt and the axis of a developing sleeve to a positioning member to regulate their distance and bringing the end of the blade into contact with said member. CONSTITUTION:A developing sleeve 4 is arranged in parallel to a belt roller 2 and allowed to face a part of a photosensitive belt 1 wound on the roller 2 at a prescribed close gap. An excess of a toner held on the circumference of the sleeve 4 is scraped off with a doctor blade 6 by rotating the sleeve 4 in relation to a magnet 5 to set a toner to a proper height. The axis of the roller 2 is positioned with positioning members 8, 9, and the shaft of the sleeve 4 is fitted to bearings 11 fixed to the member 18 and rotatably supported. The developing gap G1 between the belt 1 and the sleeve 4 is kept constant by exactly setting the distance between the axes of the roller 3 and the sleeve 4. A blade gap G2 can be set by bringing the end of the blade 6 into contact with the positioning members 8b, 9b. |
