PURPOSE:To prevent self fusion by applying shot-peening treatment onto a stainless-steel surface, without applying coating, and by forming a hardened layer. CONSTITUTION:When a stainless-steel surface S is applied with shot-peening, a Beilby layer is formed directly under the surface S, and a plastic doformation layer P and an elastic deformation layer E are formed inside the Beilby layer. Since the surface roughness is made proper and the hardness is increased after shot-peening treatment, self fusion can be prevented effectively. The desirable hardness is at least 300Hmv (micro-Vickers hardness), and the surface roughness is desirably 25-50mum.
