A prefabricated wall element (10) exhibits a first shuttering board (11.1) and a second shuttering board (11.2), which are held in parallel with each other by means of spacers (12). A foamed board (14) and wooden strips (15) which project over the foamed board are mounted on the outer surface (13) of the second shuttering board. A heat-insulating board (17) is fastened on the wooden strips. Between the outer surface (20) of the foamed board (14) and the heat-insulating board (17), an air-stream layer (21), through which the air for heat recovery can flow, is formed. The prefabricated wall elements are suitable for prefabricated buildings of any type with heat-recovery installations. <IMAGE>
