PURPOSE:To directly record a picture of high resolution and high quality by selectively providing a magnetic field to enable ink droplets to be released from a slit of an ink tank over a recording paper, to the slit at picture signal. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic ink tank 14 containing magnetic ink 13 and a head 15 are provided, the latter being installed at the lower part of the ink tank 14 with a recording paper 11 set in between. The head 15 partially heats a high- permeability layer according to a picture signal (a) to make the high-permeability layer paramagnetic. A permanent magnet 16 is attached to the head 15 to magnetize the high-permeability layer in a fixed direction and also a control part 17 for the energizing control of a heating layer to selectively heat the high- permeability layer according to a picture signal (a) at the time of switching ON is provided at the head 15. |
