A blind fastener (A) for installation in aircrafts or the like and method for forming same comprised of a threaded nut (D) threaded on a threaded screw or stem member (B) having a stem head with a deformable sleeve (C) mounted on the stem member between the stem head and the threaded nut (D). A torque lock is created between the threaded nut (D) and the stem member (B) to provide torque of the nut (D) against the threads (12) of the stem member (B) without damaging the threads (12) of the nut (D) and the stem member (B).
