A connector socket of the type used for multiple connections to electrical equipment and instrumentation has a printed circuit card with a number of contact blades projecting from the surface. External connection with the blades is made by a socket that provides coupling with each group of four contact blades. Several plugs may be used side by side. Guidance for the plugs is provided by a socket housing with separate guideways and latching lugs that engage with holes in the printed circuit board. The socket is flush mounted with the housing plate. The plug element also has a latching claw that engages with the socket.
