PURPOSE:To prevent halation without adversely affecting fog and storage stability by using an antihalation layer contg. a specified oil-soluble dye. CONSTITUTION:An antihalation layer formed contains an oil-soluble dye represented by the formula in which X is a benzene or thiazole ring, etc., having an electronattractive group, such as nitro, cyano, or halogen; R1-R4 are each H, 1-12C alkyl or such alkoxy, or 2-30C amide; and Y, Z are each 1-10C alkyl. Such an antihalation layer is formed, e.g., on a support, and a silver salt diffusion transfer photosensitive material is, preferably, formed on this antihalation layer. Diffusion transfer processing is often carried out in a processing machine provided with no temp. controller, but this material does not cause any fog even at a temp. as high as about 30 deg.C. Since this antihalation dye is not eluted into a processing soln., it does not stain the processing soln. and an image receiving layer, and improves storage stability.
