PURPOSE:To provide the titled device which has high productivity of a sand mold and decreases the amt. of the curing gas to be used by supporting a pair of metallic molds having an aperture in the upper part by a device for opening and closing metallic molds and providing a head for supplying molding sand and a head for supplying curing gas in such a way that said heads can be brought alternately into tight contact with said aperture. CONSTITUTION:Metallic molds 11, 12 are brought into tight contact with each other by the operation of a cylinder 17 and thereafter a moving base 30 is displaced in a direction A-A' to match a head 34 for supplying molding sand with an aperture 29. The head 34 is then perpendicularly displaced in a direction B so as to be brought into tight contact with the aperture 29, then a shutter 36 is released. As a result, the molding sand in a mold reservoir 37 pressurized by pressurized air is admitted through the head 34 into a cavity 16, by which molding is completed. A pressing member 52 is returned to the home position upon completion of molding and the head 34 is displaced upward. The base 30 is then displaced in a direction A to match a head 35 for supplying curing gas with the aperture 29 and at the same time to match the reservoir 37 with the outlet 53a of a hopper. A valve 19 is opened in this stage to evacuate the inside of the cavity 16 to a reduced pressure and thereafter the prescribed curing gas is admitted from a tank 46 or 47 into the cavity 16 so that the entire part of the sand mold is uniformly cured. |
