PURPOSE:To enlarge contacting area with a heat transfer surface and increase the treating amount of the device by a method wherein the device is provided with a device, provided with mixing and transporting vanes to transport fluid into parallel and reverse direction of the device equipped with mixing and transporting vanes, and a dam, provided between the mixing and transporting devices while the height of the dam is permitted to be regulated. CONSTITUTION:The supplying port 5 of a material to be treated is provided at the upper part of a casing at the rear end of positive direction feeding shafts 3A, 3B and the discharging port 6 of treated material is provided at the side of the casing at the tip ends of reverse direction feeding shafts 3C, 3D while the partitioning wall 7 of the casing is provided at the center of respective feeding shafts 3B, 3C in parallel to both shafts. The material to be treated, thrown into the supplying port 5, is transferred by the vanes attached to the shafts 3A, 3B as shown by the arrow sign, is passed through the dam 9 and is transferred to the discharging port 6 by the reverse direction feeding shafts 3C, 3D. The flow amount of the treated material may be regulated by changing the heights of the dams 8, 10 in respective flow paths, in one of which the material is discharged through the dam 10 and in the other of which the material is returned to the lower part of the supplying port 5 through the dam 8. |
