COIL FOR NMR IMAGE DIAGNOSING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To obtain a spatially even high frequency magnetic field during the transmission by arranging small coils in series as a pair on the outside of large coils to correct changes in the intensity of a magnetic field in a coil due to the large coils connected in series to form a pair. CONSTITUTION:Small coils 33 and 34 are arranged in series as pair on the outside of large coils 31 and 32 connected in series to form a pair to build a coil for an NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) image diagnosing apparatus. Then, when a high frequency excitation signal is applied to the small coils 33 and 34 during the transmission, changes in the intensity of a magnetic field at the center of a coil due to the large coils 31 and 32 are corrected to generate an even magnetic field in a coil. During the reception, the same electromotive force is generated across the coil with respect to the same flux changes regardless of the position therein. This coil is applicable in any case of using the same or a different coil for transmission and reception thereby producing an apparatus having an even sensitivity during the reception.
