PURPOSE:To perform automatic measurement, by a method wherein smear filter paper is constituted so as to be automatically fed, every time a contaminated body is replaced, to wipe off a contaminant and a marking apparatus is provided at a predetermined distance from the center of a wipe-off part while a reading machine is provided to the downstream side thereof and a contamination degree measuring machine 9 is further provided at a specific distance. CONSTITUTION:The smear filter paper wound on a smear filter paper feed out apparatus 3 is passed over guide rollers 5, 6 and marked by a marking apparatus constituted of a punch table 13 and a puncher 4 and the contaminant of the fuel rod provided at a distance L' is wiped off by said paper in such a state that contact pressure is made constant by guide rollers 6, 6'. A mark reading machine 15 is attached to the downstream side of the wipe-off part and the measuring machine 9 received in an instrument receiving body 8 is further provided at a place of a distance L to measure a contamination degree. The paper 1 is wound up by a smear filter paper wind-up apparatus 4 and, in order to prevent the transfer of the contaminant wipe-off part, the superposition of rice paper 9 is enabled. |
