PURPOSE:To make the outside diameter sizes of a mold for casting a billet having a small section and the bodies to be used exclusively for roller aprons small to desired values so that said mold and bodies can be used in a strand for casting a billet having a large diameter by using adapters called attachments. CONSTITUTION:A strand for casting a billet having a large diameter is constituted by supporting vertically movably a mold 1 for casting said billet and positioning and supporting bodies 3 to be used exclusively for a roller apron for casting said billet. A roller apron 7 for casting the billet having a large size is supported by the mold 1 and the bodies 3. A mold 15 for casting a billet having a small diameter and the bodies 19 to be used exclusively for a roller apron are respectively supported on a table 2 and a frame 5 via attachments 12 and 16 in the case of casting the billet having various sections with the same strand. An exclusive body 21 to be used for a roller apron is supported by the mold 15 and the bodies 19. |
