PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance the sensitivity in flaw detection by reducing noise in a shoe, in an ultrasonic probe wherein a plurality of vibrators are mounted to one shoe, by mounting vibrators having different shapes to each other. CONSTITUTION:A vertical beam receiving vibrator 4' and a horizontal beam receiving vibrators 6 are mounted to a shoe 2 to form a probe and one side of the vibrator 4' is formed into a mountain or circular shape so as to allow the directions of beams 17' reflected in the vicinity of the side 16' of the vibrator to be opposite to each other in the inside direction. By this constitution, the influence of so called echo-in-shoe, such that the ultrasonic wave sent out from one vibrator is reflected from the other vibrator in the shoe and returned to the original vibrator, is reduced and the enhancement of the sensitivity in flow detection and the facilitation of flaw discrimination are enabled. |
