PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction when checking a battery by making the time required for deciding whether the voltage level of a source battery is higher than a specific level or not different after conducting a reactance, at a start of release operation and from that, in manual operation. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 2 is turned on at the time of battery checking (BC) in shutter release, a constant voltage circuit 3, light metering circuit 4, and arithmetic circuit 5 operates to output a shutter control value and a stop control value to control circuits 6 and 7 respectively. When a switch 29 turns on, a D-FF20 latches information on whether the voltage of the source battery 1 after magnets 8-10 are powered on for 2ms is enough for a camera photographic sequence through monostable multivibrators 21 and 22 with the output from a terminal C of a sequence control circuit 28, thereby sending driving signals to the circuits 6 and 7 when the voltage is sufficient. On the other hand, when a switch 30 is turned on in manual mode, the signal from a terminal B of the circuit 28 is inputted to terminals G of the monostable multivibrators 21 and 22, so their operation start time is extended and malfunction of BC is prevented.
