PURPOSE:To enable plate to be made directly from a copy on a plate material for lithographic printing and to eliminate processings such as developing, exposing, washing, etc., by laminating an electrothermosensitive transfer plate making material and a plate material for lithographic printing which has a certain surface resistance, and by applying electricity from the side of a resistance layer having a certain electric surface resistance. CONSTITUTION:An electrothermosensitive transfer plate making material is prepared by laminating of a resistance layer which has a surface resistance of 10-10<8>OMEGA and would not be broken-down at the time of an electric discharge plate making, and a thermal transfer layer which consists of a thin metal film having a surface resistance of 0.1-1OMEGA, and is constituted of a conductive layer which would not be broken-down by electric discharge at the time of an electric plate making and a thermosetting resin and a hardening agent, but that is not yet thoroughly set. The plate making material is laminated so that the thermal transfer layer abuts the surface of the plate material for lithographic printing. The thermal transfer layer is transferred to the plate surface by the heat generated by application of electricity from the side of the metal containing resin layer, and at the same time, an image is formed by setting the transferred thermosetting resin. |
