PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect a small flaw, by projecting laser light on a surface to be measured, and providing an image sensor, which converts the laser light, which is transmitted through the surface to be measures or reflected by the surface to be measured, into an electric picture signal. CONSTITUTION:When laser light is emitted from a laser light emitting device and converged by a convex lens 12, the laser light, which is transmitted through a body to be measured 15, is converted into a picture signal by an image sensor 13. The picture signal is outputted to a microcomputer 14. When the picture signal is outputted to the computer 14, the datas of the picture signal is extracted. The input data is once stored in a RAM in the computer 14 as a form of a histogram. Based on the data from the RAM, an average intensity value is computed. Then, contrast is computed based on the data from the RAM. When the contrast with respect to a preset threshold value is high, the presence of abnormality on the surface to be measured 6 is displayed. Therefore, even the small flaw can be checked. |
