PURPOSE:To form efficiently a program and to simplify a compiler itself by making a machine word program base upon the same basic algorithm common by plural different data types. CONSTITUTION:An instruction is inputted from an address in a storage device 2 which is indicated by an instruction pointer 8 to an instruction queue 10. The instruction is sent to a decoder 13 through an instruction fetch 12 to analyze the kind of the instruction. The decoder 13 disscriminates the kinds (the four rules of arithmetic and comparison) of basic arithmetic and determines the data type used for each arithmetic by setting up type information in a data type designation register 14. An instruction execution control part 15 sends data in a general register 6 or the data in the storage device 2 which are indicated by an address register 9 to an operation part 4 on the basis of the data type information specified by the register 14 to calculate.
