PURPOSE:To execute a microprogram rapidly by accessing a program memory on the basis of access data determined by a calculated output from a prescribed calculating circuit and the contents set in a register. CONSTITUTION:The address calculating circuit 24 adds ''1'' to a value indicated by low-order eight bits out of an address value stored in a memory for a microprogram executed by an execution circuit 23 and outputs the added result as data AD1. The register 25 sets data consisting of four bits on the basis of a command from the microprogram execution circuit 23 and outputs data AD2. At the access from the memory 21, address data consisting of twelve bits in tatal and obtained from the 8-bit data AD1 outputted from the address calculating circuit 24 and the 4-bit data AD2 outputted from the register 25 are applied to the memory 21 having 4096 words.
