PURPOSE:To identify whether a key input is a composite signal or not easily and to correct a signal simply by displaying a specific signal at the input of the composite signal. CONSTITUTION:Character and numeral keys and keys for inputting composite signals are formed on a keyboard 2 of a case, keying processing is executed by depressing these keys and the key inputs are displayed on a display device 3 under control by a CPU21. At that time, the CPU21 executes key interruption processing on the basis of program data in a ROM22 by setting a composite flag corresponding to a composite code key at the input of the composite code key from full keys 6 as shown in the figure. The input data are converted to data for displaying a previously set specific code [ ] and the converted data on a display device 3. Then, whether the inputted character agrees with the composite code or not is discriminated and the composite character at the time of agreement or the flag of the composite code at the time of coincidence is reset and the inputted character is displayed respectively.
