STABILIZER FOR DISCHARGE LAMP

PURPOSE:To obtain a rational stabilizer having highly reliable connection terminals from the mechanical and electrical point of view by overlapping the connection terminals at the winding lead-out portion on connection terminals of external lead wires to press-insert them into and fix them to a terminal insertion hole provided on a bobbin. CONSTITUTION:A terminal insertion hole 8 is formed integrally with a bobbin 31 of a stabilizer 1 for a discharge lamp on which a coil 3 formed by winding a winding 32 on the bobbin 31 made of resin is engagingly mounted. A cut-up flap 46 is provided on an abutting surface of an overlapped portion 44 at a first terminal 41 connecting a lead-out portion 33 of the beginning of the winding 32 and a lead-out portion 34 of the end of the winding by use of solder 7 and at a second terminal 42 provided with V-shaped grooves 43 holding conductors 51 and 61 of a feeder 5 and a relay lead 6 at the depths of the grooves. Under overlapping state, the flap 46 is press-contacted with the inner surface of the terminal insertion hole and the first terminal 41 and the second terminal 42 press-inserted into each terminal insertion hole 8 are rigidly press-fixed between the abutting surfaces.
