PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration due to exposure to light after making a printing plate by uniformly exposing the plate after development and treating it with a basic compd. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive lithographic plate is prepared by forming a photosensitive layer contg. an o-quinonediazide compd. and a silicone rubber layer on a support in succession, and it is imagewise exposed and developed, then, uniformly exposed in an exposure amt. of 5-300% of the imagewise exposure amt., and then, treated with a basic compd. in order to prevent that the photosensitive layer is solubilized by reexposure at the time of printing or the like, and it is peeled out together with the overlying silicone rubber layer with an org. solvent. As the basic compd., amines, alkali metals, alkali metal alcolates, and alkali metal hydroxides can be used. Since a fixing effect can be enhanced by incorporating an epoxy resin in the photosensitive layer, it is advantageous to use it. |
