摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the reaction performance of catalyst while loosening the spatial limitation of exhaust path by arranging new straightener boards at the perpendicularly curved section of exhaust path in the upstream of catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Catalyst 3 is arranged in the exhaust path 2 of engine where said path 2 is bent perpendicularly in the upstream of catalyst 3. Straightener boards 4 provided with a plurality of fins 5 having same width with that of flow-in sideface of catalyst 3 while extending approximately in perpendicular against the exhaust path 2 in the upstream of curved section 2a and having height increasing gradually toward the downstream are arranged at the curved section 2a of exhaust path 2. Exhaust gas deflected perpendicularly at said curved section 2a is layered through said straightener boards 4.
