PURPOSE:To effectively make two-way transmission by using a single-line optical fiber and luminous photoreceptor element, by sending out a transmitting condition signal having a fixed time length after transmission is started and handing over the transmitting right to the partner side after passing a fixed time from the start of the transmission. CONSTITUTION:If the transmission enable signal EN1 of a transmission enable signal (EN) 1 terminal is ''1'' when data transmission is made from a transmitting device 11, transmitting data IN1 is inputted through an IN1 terminal. Then the light emitting section 14 of the light emitting photoreceptor 16 of the device 11 emits lights in accordance with the transmitting data and the optical signals are transmitted to the element 16 of another transmitting device 12 through a single-line optical fiber 13. The optical signals are received at the photoreceptor section 15 of the device 12. While the data transmission from the device 11 to the device 12 continues, the condition where the signal EN1 is set to ''1'' and signal EN2 is set to ''0'' is maintained and the device 11 side and device 12 side are set to the transmission mode and reception mode, respectively. When the signal EN1 is ''0'' at the device 11, its mode is reception mode and transmitting right is at the other device 12 side. |
