PURPOSE:To produce a coated film having blocking resistance, a good appearance and excellent transparency, by coating the surface of a base comprising a transparent resin film with a specified latex coating solution and drying it to form a synthetic resin coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a base comprising a transparent synthetic resin film (e.g., biaxially stretched polypropylene film) is coated with a latex coating solution containing a water-insoluble thermoplastic synthetic resin latex capable of forming a transparent synthetic resin film (e.g., polyvinylidene chloride resin latex), a small amount of an inorganic fine powder (e.g., silica of an average particle diameter of 2mu) and 0.3-10pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. synthetic resin component in said latex, water-soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of PVA, carboxymethylcellulose and hydroxyethylcellulose, and the wet film is dried to form a coating synthetic resin layer. A coated film having blocking resistance, good appearance and excellent transparency can be obtained.
