<p>PURPOSE:To replace packings simply, certainly, and safely by forming an outside ring which possesses a shape repulsive force and has the equal shape to an annular elastic body, onto the outer periphery of said elastic body. CONSTITUTION:An operating rod 16 is turned by loosening a lock-nut 18 so as to move in the direction of arrow S. Then, the projecting flange 14-1 of an annular outside ring 14 having a shape repulsive force is attracted to the direction of other projecting flange 14-2. Therefore, the gap C provided between the edge surfaces of the annular water sealing packing 5-1 becomes zero, and the both surfaces contact. When the operating rod 16 is further shifted in the direction of arrow S, the water sealing packing 15-1 closely contacts with the outside-diameter side of a main shaft 3, and a liquid pressure (p) is sealed by these surfaces.</p> |
