PURPOSE:The titled sheet which can form a stamped molding having a good appearance and excellent high-temperature dimensional stability and mechanical strength, prepared by impregnating a long glass fiber mat with a specified thermoplastic polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A stampable polyester sheet prepared by impregnating 5- 100pts.wt. mat made of long glass fibers, prepared by bundling long glass fibers so that the following relationship may hold: DXN/pi<=1,000 [wherein pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, D(mu) is the diameter of a glass fiber and N is the number of fibers bundled], with 100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester resin comprising 80-5wt% polyethylene terephthalate resin and 20- 95wt% polybutylene terephthalate resin. This stampable sheet can be formed by stamping into molded parts which must have a good appearance and excellent high-temperature dimensional stability and mechanical strength, such as automobile external trims.
