<p>PURPOSE:To make the width of electrode a comparatively large even when printing pitch is small to make easier the manufacture of heads by a method in which voltage is supplied in a time-division manner between the interlacing electrodes of plurao electrodes to produce heat between the electrodes for printing. CONSTITUTION:A printing head to be contacted with a recording paper 5 is contacted with the lower end of electrodes 1 A-J, having a base film 2 coated with a resistor layer 3 and an ink layer 4. Transistors Ta and Tc sre electrically energized and voltage is applied between electrodes A and C, or to the resistor Rb facing the electrode B for energization. Transistors Tb and Td are electrically energized and voltage is supplied between the electrodes B and D, or to the resistor Rc facing the electrode C for energization. In the same way, the resistors Rd... are energized to melt the ink of the ink layer 4. Printing is made on the recording paper 5 by the ink. Even when the printing pitch is small, a comparatively large electrode width can be obtained, the dots printed become larger, and the quality of printing can be raised.</p> |
