PURPOSE:To control safely and inexpensively a device by utilizing a call tone of a telephone set to control the device. CONSTITUTION:A telephone set 3 near the device is called from a telephone set 1 at a remote location via a telephone line network 2. The ring tone of the called telephone set 3 is collected by a microphone 4 and the number of times of generation of the said ring tone is counted by a signal processing section 100. A signal is given to a device control section 300 from a code discriminating section 200 depending on the number of times of the ring tone until a handset is hooked on and the device 6 is controlled based on the said signal. |
