<p>PURPOSE:To obtain industrially and advantageously the titled compound useful as an intermediate for cephalosporin based compounds, by reacting a specific cephalosporanic acid as a starting material with a silyl based compound and a pyridine compound. CONSTITUTION:(A) A 7-amino-3-halogenomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid of formula I (X is halogen) which is a starting material is reacted with (B) a (tri lower alkylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide of formula II or III (R<1> is lower alkyl), preferably N-methyl-N-trimethylsilyl trifluoroacetamide, and (C) a pyridine compound A [A is formula IV (R<2> is H or amino), etc.], and if clesired the protecting group is removed to give the aimed compound of formula V or VI (-<+>A is onium ion of pyridine compound A; Y<-> is anion). The resultant compound is a novel compound except the compound of formula VII.</p> |
